Concerto for Flute and Harp In C Major - W.A. Mozart (arr. Charles Fernandez/BMI)

$38.00

Written in 1778 when Mozart was 25, commissioned, but never paid for, by the flutist Duke of Guines and his harpist daughter. When it was written there were very few pieces written for flute and harp. Mozart handles the harp part like a plucked piano. Mozart never used the harp in another piece. Mozart was also not enthusiastic about the flute, and after composing some chamber music and a couple of solo pieces, such as this one, he never used the flute as a solo instrument again. No record of cadenzas are known, but Carl Reinecke's are most often used.

NOTE: Double Contra, F Bass, and F Contra Bass parts are available upon request as well as the larger score including these instruments.

This is a digital version of the piece that you can download as a PDF and print.
